Staff "Must be's,"

  1. Must be respectful: Staff must treat all members with respect and dignity, regardless of their opinions or backgrounds.

  2. Must be knowledgeable: Staff should have a strong understanding of the forum's theme, purpose, and community. They should also be familiar with the forum software and its features.

  3. Must be impartial: Staff should remain neutral and unbiased in their decision-making, avoiding favoritism or bias towards specific members or groups of members.

  4. Must be responsive: Staff should respond promptly to reports of rule violations and member concerns, and take appropriate action.

  5. Must be communicative: Staff should be able to clearly and effectively communicate with members, both publicly and privately, to address issues and provide guidance.

  6. Must be approachable: Staff should be accessible and approachable to members, and willing to listen to their suggestions and concerns.

  7. Must be proactive: Staff should actively monitor the forum and take steps to prevent problems before they arise, rather than simply reacting to them after the fact.

  8. Must be accountable: Staff should be held accountable for their actions and decisions, and be willing to explain and justify them when necessary.

  9. Must be transparent: Staff should be open and transparent in their decision-making processes and interactions with members, avoiding secrecy or hidden agendas.

  10. Must be flexible: Staff should be adaptable and willing to adjust their approaches as needed to best serve the needs of the forum and its members.

  11. Must be patient: Staff should be patient and understanding, especially when dealing with difficult or sensitive situations.

  12. Must be team players: Staff should work well together and support each other in their roles, collaborating to achieve common goals.

  13. Must be problem solvers: Staff should be able to identify and solve problems, often working creatively and outside the box to find solutions.

  14. Must be diplomats: Staff should be skilled at resolving conflicts and disagreements between members, and able to negotiate peaceful resolutions.

  15. Must be ambassadors: Staff should represent the forum positively and professionally, both within the community and externally.

By embracing these "must be's," staff can help create a positive and productive environment for members, and contribute to the success and growth of the forum.
